The Mission of Magis Milwaukee is to reach out in faith to all who are seeking a deeper connection to God, self and others. Guided by the wisdom of St. Ignatius of Loyola, we offer support, direction and vision for living life with greater authenticity, purpose and interior freedom. Our doors are open to all people who are seeking spiritual depth whether mature in faith or only just beginning. While deeply rooted in the Christian spiritual tradition, we welcome people from all faith tradition and those who have no religious affiliation or background. We believe in the universal call to holiness that impels all people to seek "the more" (magis) for which we are created.
Ignatian Spirituality
Based on the spiritual and practical wisdom of St. Ignatius of Loyola, Ignatian spirituality is characterized by the conviction that God is active, personal and –above all – present to us. A true spiritual life is a life of engagement with the whole of life and capacity to find God in all things. Ignatian spirituality – through various forms of prayer, thoughtful reflection and discerned action in daily life – increases our awareness of God’s grace and call, and encourages us to live our lives with conviction and greater purpose.
